I can't remember where I heard it :/ However, even if Most Haunted were to come to an end it wouldn't make a difference because there are so many paranormal television shows out there who spread just as much misinformation

The channel five thing was widely reported but seems to be just a mixed up rumour...Antix don't own the Most Haunted name ...Living do ....so if a move was to happen the show would need to be under a different name done a little differently. It may have been more an interest in Fielding and perhaps a new version or venture in the MH vein.
With that in mind it may mean that the "end" of Most Haunted in its current guise and home is on the cards as Living appear to be less than enamoured with the show and Antix ...but I don't think it spells an end to a show of some shape or form elsewhere.
Remember Antix can simply make programmes and flog em to an interested party , granted the budget would be drastically reduced without the backing of a large channel but it's not impossible that one won't sign up Fielding with the added clause of a paranormal type show.
I don't think their going bust at all , what I do think is the partnership with Living is sour and stale...Living aren't getting enough bang for their buck , they are throwing money and air time away on a show that isn't hitting the interest of viewers like it did in the past and other shows like Ghost Adventures are catching the attention of the paranormal show fans despite it being as big a load of balls its got a slicker more current edge and a bloke with big guns that appeals to the younger audience that Living want to attract.
Add the old outdated air of MH to the heat it attracts from Ofcom complaints , the recent link with MH to alledged sex offender Smith making Living bods have to deal with the bad publicity, the high maintainance of dealing with Antix etc, the constant departures of mediums in little huffs of controversy and it all screams we can't be bothered with the hassle anymore.
To be honest ...I think the Beatties have long been fed up with the MH template...they aren't entirely stupid when it comes to selling themselves or a product, no one that has had considerable success is that thick to carry on with a format that is dull boring and dated as long as they have without there being some factor leading them to ignore what the viewers have been screaming at them for years now. I think they may be just as keen to split as Living are but can't do the size or type of project they want without the backing of some big station and the contract tied them up all beit with huge benefits.
Love or hate Fielding she is still a commodity in TV as a presenter that like it or not the public have some affinity with ....Karl may be dead weight presenting wise but I could see why a channel would be interested in getting her on board to present shows with the side of Karl in production etc The rest of the "team" wouldn't be of interest to a channel ...with the exception of Lesley Smith who once again seems to have that love or hate draw for viewers but when it comes down to it for on screen work Fielding does still have some pull and If anything I could see Five or the like making an offer to her .

Well personally I had heard Most Haunted would be moving to Channel 5. If that is so then they wont be ending. Living TV own MH, so cant see why they would let Ch5 air it? Maybe old episodes, but why would Ch5 want to air old episodes of MH? Much like the "Ghost hunting with..." crap on ITV2, the format must be different to MH otherwise Living would sue.

The Ghost hunting with...franchise is their best bet for pick up...Karl has already been asking on facebook this year for suggestions on who people would like to see on it.Antix also have hinted at "big new project in the pipeline" which of course could be just hype.
O'Keefe has been asking "so who thinks I should do my own paranormal show" on his facebook in the last weeks.

Speaking of such things Derek A is on tv in the afternoon on sky 3, so churning out old stuff is happening everywhere, and will be worse forever. Just checking, assume all heard that Sylvia Browne and Montel have gone ther own ways, exactly why seems to be being kept quiet, or that it's because of Montels "illness" i believe he has MS, others though point towards her terrible gaffs like saying people are dead who then turn up quite alive and kicking.

The supernatural/paranormal channel seems to be gone from 201 on Sky though. As Karl Beattie seemed to be the link between shows a lot of the time and a lot of Beattie, et al were on there in various guises, so any relevance I wonder? 'Screaming Reels' (SOOOOOO annoying) and 'Wines and Spirits' (about haunted pubs) being two I recall.

These days you'd have to pay me £110 to WATCH Yvette and the team. I have to agree MissJo - I found the constant screaming and charging away from whatever it was annoying to the point where I would swear and throw cushions at the tv (and with my track record that could've ended badly for the cushion, tv and me - when husband killed me for murdering his telly), so I stopped watching it. I mean why *ask* for something to happen and then run around like headless chickens screaming lloudly about it when it does? If I was a ghost I'd be stood their rolling my eyes and muttering about daft bonebags... _______________ When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the neighbour's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.

If they were a proper investigation programme like trouble said they wouldn't be all running around like headless chickens and as for Cath's screaming I would of shoved the sound boom straight down her throat....MH with it's other guises had ultimately come to the end of it's shelf life, there is only so much screaming you can do without it becoming the highlight of the show, so yes it's hopefully curtains for the MH crew

I doubt very much we will ever be without M H. Not with all the repeats that are churned out. Flitting through the channels trying to find a prog worth watching, all you can see is repeats of every ghost hunting series ever made. Its the same with Time Team,I have taught myself archeology over the years watching this. Keep going around looking for flints and such like. Do not think I will ever come across a jumper like the profs though. ;D There again would I want too ?.

Jo, I want to pull the feather out of his titfer. In fact I think they should have a whip round for a new hat and a haircut for him, along with a new pair of shorts ,that are not so short. While their at it, a new jumper for prof Mike would not go a miss. They give us well dressed archeologist a bad image. ;D
