Petition to implement the recommendations of the House Commons Science and Technology committee evidence check on Homeopathy The House Commons Science and Technology committee has recently undertaken an evidence check on the usefulness of homeopathy and has now published its report. The conclusions are unequivocal. They say "To maintain patient trust, choice and safety, the Government should not endorse the use of placebo treatments, including homeopathy. Homeopathy should not be funded on the NHS and the MHRA should stop licensing homeopathic products." The government should implement these recommendations as soon as possible. Pushing the responsibility back onto GP's really as far as getting it on the NHS is concerned.

I got it too .. and I'm bloody furious .... (seems to be becoming a permanent state for me these days) ... how many scanners ,nurses or even simply cleaners could be employed for the money it costs for "one of the NHS homeopathic hospitals."... and if you add in the costs of the "Chaplaincy Services" as well ... Damn me , this is getting past a joke.

What do you think the real reluctance to do anything about it is within the government Watchman ?
I can't get my head round why they feel the need to subsidise it on the NHS at all ....perhaps a matter of "where do they draw the line" of whats considered alternative medicine ?

Only God knows fluffet , and he aint saying ,
I know Pince Charles has an intrest in Woo Water but he's inbred and surely even in the house of commons there must be some of them with more brain cells than teeth....
Although there are many more upper class chinless wonders in this present lot ... perhaps its getting near time for the revolution comrades ...

I'd happily revolt against the chinless wonders ...the 'Wrath of Fluff' hasn't been invoked for quite sometime and I could finally get to use my favourite battle cry.
" They can take our jobs. They can take our schools and our hospitals...but my size 5 right up the jacksie is the last thing they'll be taking "
*Edited to add - Fluff does not condone violence of anykind and the size 5 up the jacksie was a metaphor for a stern telling off lol*

Clueless i'd imagine...a three pronged attack of rational thought in the night right after their Ovaltine would no doubt bring about the fall of the entire chinless regime...I reckon they are all linked Borg like so infecting one with some common sense might just turn the whole lot of em

When all the finger waving is over and Fluffs size 5 is safely put away and when all the chinless wonders have started to sprout chins, you will find me managing the W V S tent . I will be handing out chin straps to help support the newly converted. Also baking a fresh batch of pies ready for the back up brigade, if and when they arrive. Up the revolution. I do hope you all realize that this post and stance on my part, could seriously damage my chances of an invite to the wedding. ;D It could also impair my chances of being awarded the O B E. Order of the British Enigma society.

Thats true Fluff. ;D Though I was thinking of throwing Homeopathy confetti, in keeping with the theme of things. Getting back to the thread proper, my own opinion is, that there may be quite a few "higher ups" who have an interest in the companies that make these products in the first place. Board members ,chairpersons etc. I do not think they would relish the thought of upsetting the apple cart whatever the cost to us the tax payer. As long as their coffers are full, keep doling them out, but, put the onus on the doctors. Lets hope the medical profession wake up soon and smell the coffee,as the saying goes.
