I've been a stormchaser for 20 some years. Storms are a passion I'll never give up. Chasing the big dog (tornado) is a thrill of power most cannot understand. I have seen devastation of whole towns wiped away and people wandering around with a lost far off look that I know all to well. In 1993 I experenced what most storm chasers never will a direct hit on my house. Through the years I have developed techniques and understand this science of weather all the more. I was intrigued by the Ball lightning thread, So maybe this will be a good topic away form ghosts and bigfoots. Does anyone have a question about the weather they would like to know, i'll try my best to answer. Keep in mind I am not well versed the winter weather thing, Tstoms and tornadoes are my thing.

I love weather in general. I suppose this is because I like photography and landscape photography in general.
Both the wife and myself have always wanted to do storm chasing so I envy you in a way. It's strange how so many people have a facination and love with something that is so distructive... but we do.
I love nothing more than a good storm and getting the camera out to catch some lightning.

I guess my love of it isn't so much the destruction, has it's the power it takes to do it. The other side of it is I also have that experence and I have the ability to read clouds and pretty much tell what the weather will do. Of course with that said I do know that mother nature is in charge. So I may believe and know this will be whats going to happen, however something will change and make you look like a weather man instead.
