Since we are covering more and more tele evangelists and religious things of that nature Ithought we could do with an extra section for talking about God, religion and so on.
Lowrider has always moaned that we dont look at other religions etc, so why not try.

dont get me started on religion !!! having a background of , catholics, methodists and church of england, there was always conflict in our family, then great nana threw a spanner in the works by being a spiritualist and she was the mother of the catholic side of the family !!!
I have to be honest and admit that on my mothers side of the family, the C of E lot, and it is only a few members of this side I might add, to them there is only one religion and thats church of england, and the ones with that notion are also the biggest hipocrates in our family too !!!!

You should try being born into a Greek Orthodox family!
We bloody started the whole thing, wrote the bible, started all the bulls*it about Jesus.
Hell even the Catholics broke away from us in about 400 AD!!
And dont get me started on wailing women, the greeks own the bloody rights to wailing, trust me, Mia will back me up on this one.

Religion causes so much conflict (like the Northern Ireland issues) as some things are done in the in name of God and so many people have been hurt as a result of a Religion - like people who left the Children of God sect (if any one caught that program last nite.) The idiot running that sect actively encourage pedophile rings etc across the world and it was all done in the name of religion. And its not the religions fault? I agree that it is usually its the leaders of these so called religious groups that are ultimately responsible for what happens but religion has actually caused so much devastation within families and across the world its amazing. |

Its the behaviour of humans that cause these horrible things to happen.

Yes it may be done in the name of the religion, but that doesnt mean it ias the actual religions fault, it is the way the religion is preached that causes the problems..you start getting people fanatical over their religion and thats when the whole meaning of it goes out of the window.

Most religions do not advocate torture,war,greed etc. But when Man realised he could twist the "Prophets" words to obtain Power,Money,Sex etc. Well it was just too good an opportunity to pass up.  |
