Don't know if you have heard about this but Ken Livingstone is planning to use tax payer's money to build an enormous mosque costing an estimated 100M in the docklands. What do you think about it? Wouldn't it be better to spend the money on a new hospital or improved transport facilities?? BIGGER THAN ST PAULS!!! The plan is for the mosque to be so big that people flying in from all over the world for the 2012 Olympics will it see it as the biggest landmark in London , bigger than St Pauls, Westminster Abbey or Wembley Stadium Take a second to cast your vote in The Evening Standard on-line poll to determine public opinion about whether a mega mosque should be built for the Olympics. The vote so far is 62 % in favour. It looks like the Muslim community is casting its vote in droves, and as usual the Christians are burying their heads in the sand.... After voting, forward this to as many people as you can. Here's the link: www.thisislondon.co.uk/poll/poll-18791-details/ques-18669-id/%C2%A3100m+mosque%3A+Vote+now/poll.do

I'd say this is a bad idea, because I would also say it was a bad idea if he wanted to build another massive church. It's nothing to do with where the people who would use this building come from. If religious types want a building of worship, they should build it themselves, because I'm pretty sure that there are more than enough churches, mosques, temples and synagogues in London already. I bet they're not short of a bob or two, these religious bodies.

Thats the main reason I put this up. I do not believe in the state in any form paying for religious buldings. It wasnt an anti muslim rant it was just ENOUGH IS ENOUGH The silent majority dont want these things done in our name.

I think its a good idea, but to be fair they should also build a catholic cathedral too and a protestant one, plus a gigantic synagogue all right next to this mosque. Im sure that would make attending church a bit like that arnold schwarzenegger movie "the running man"
seperation of church and state seems like a good idea.

Is that not discriminating against orthodox christians, baptists, methodists, quakers, mormons, jehovah's witnesses, buddhists, scientologists, zoroastrians, pagans, rastafarians, sikhs, shinto, taoists, jainists, hindus, unitarianists, humanists and the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?
