My sons aged 10 and 9 are loving this programme, do I disillusion them though and tell them it's a load of faked rubbish? ;-)
It doesn't even scare them tbh, having been ardent watchers of Dr Who they tell me that is far more scary!
Hello btw, not been on here for ages as I'd stopped watching MH and MHL but have been lured back in by my sons!

I remember my son being up late one evening in the holidays and there was a MHL repeat on, my son at the time was 7 years old and he thought Derek was hilarious doing his possessions. My son is 8 now and i wouldn't deliberately let him watch this show, however certain clips on MHL are funny there's no denying it! i wouldn't like my son to see Yvette and the rest of the gang around a table doing a ouija board, but it just goes to show how ridiculous this show is now if children can laugh about it

Well, my son is 13 in a couple of weeks, and watches it when i have it on. He know's they fake it, as i have shown him the youutube videos where they have been caught out. He does wonder why i watch it some times, knowing it's faked. ;D

Let them watch it, but make it clear it is faked. Otherwise you could end up with two woo kids who believe in all sorts of nonsense, that would be being a bad mother.

You should try to stimulate your childrens critical thinking abilities as soon as you can. If you have not before, you should start now. The alternative could be potentially fatal if they travel the "woo road". whatstheharm.net/

let them watch it as long as you keep telling them "that is how NOT to do an investigation" and stress it is just entertainment.

Oh yes, they know it's entertainment. And so clearly (in my opinion) set up with the parts I've seen this week that even the 9 year old sees it.
I've tried to explain that it's not the way to do an investigation...
