One-to-one, he is twitchier than a chipmunk high on caffeine wearing trousers full of termites. On stage, he is less convincing than a polar bear in sunglasses, trying to get into a giraffes-only party. He used a series of cold reading techniques, and on one noteable occasion had a 50-50 chance of making a correct guess. He got it wrong. He shrouds his meaning (if he has any) in a fug of vague terms and phrases, and exhibits all the signs of suffering from terminal smarm.

Conning the Conmen: 3 different 'tests' were attempted (and I believe all were successful). 1) A reading given for an undercover reporter in DA's theatre show. All info incorrect. 2) At book-signing following show an undercover reporter claimed to be possessed and received "exorcism" from DA. No possession at all. 3) "Psychic Bingo" - prior to show a list of statements they expected DA to come up with and so tick them off as and when he says them. Which, I believe was most of them. As to what actually gets shown we'll find out on Thursday. Bulls**t Detective: 3 mediums invited on separate occasions to an allegedly haunted house (no reports of hauntings in it's history!). The 'test' was to see if they picked up on a completely fabricated ghost story (yours truly) planted on internet & eslewhere. One recounted the story verbatum, another incorporated essences, and the third (respect) didn't do any prior research (but did indulge in some classic cold reading). How all of this is presented on the show, again, we'll have to wait and see. Haven't received permission to name the mediums...yet! Shy, moi.

Conning the Conmen: 3 different 'tests' were attempted (and I believe all were successful). 1) A reading given for an undercover reporter in DA's theatre show. All info incorrect. Yes already aware of this, although i dont really see this as anything amazing, I have been reporting on Dereks god awful readings for years. Yep this one I revealed on here recently, I knew about it a while back. The problem we have here is that I know Derek, and I also know that if faced with someone making such claims, he is likely to just go along with them as not to offend them. The people who believe in Derek are generally a bit thick to say the least, Derek is in a position where he needs to keep these people happy and keep coming back to his shows. So this is the weakest of all the so called exposes on the show. I was told that Derek had a good laugh afterwards about this person and did not take it seriously in any way. In fact Derek was quite open at the time to people he knew. Again I have already done this, it is hardly ground breaking "evidence" is it. In fact you can go to pretty much any psychic and they will come out with the same crap. Their defence would be that these are common amongst people in that frame of mind who have lost people, which is why such deaths seem to be repeated. I get the feeling it will be as disapointing as the god awful Mirror expose which made absolutely no impact on Derek Acorahs career whatsoever. In fact if I remember rightly Ciaran and Karl (Who was behind the Kreed Kafer thing) were BOTH taken into the office for a dressing down by LivingTV and Karl was told in no uncertain terms "If Derek does not appear on MHL there will be no MHL" It is ironic to think that Derek probably saved the tv careers of both karl and Ciaran by appearing on that MHL. When it comes to Derek Acorah it is so easy to do a good job to expose him, but it seems time after time the people in the best position to do so, fail miserably, or come off with something so crap it does nothing but strengthen the Acorahlytes belief in their messiah. Maybe the people should ask me for advice on how to make the best impact. Interesting idea, i remember that magic show on Sky One, cant remembe rif it was Max Magic, or Undercover magic, something like that, anyway they did the same thing, and produced a ghost too! The mediums all fell for it. Havent received permission? If it were me i would be shouting their names from the rooftops, letting people look into them, research them and so on, so that when the show is aired more people watch it and understand whats going on and who the people are involved. It seems the BBC is still run by idiots. Now go tell them to reveal the names or i will reveal them myself. Obviously yes. I think that being shy can be a good quality sometimes, but I also have greater respect for people who answer their critics, stand up for themselves, instead of allowing themselves to be controlled by others just because of a paycheck.

With 'Conning the Conmen' and DA - agreed. You HAVE been discussing and exposing his poor readings for sometime now. You and others like Tony Youens. And, yes, the 'tests' were hardly the best ever and, probably, do little to dent DA's career. Until skeptics such as yourself are in a position to call the shots in producing a TV show which aims to 'expose' then we are at the mercy of directors and producers. The only show where I managed to have an influence on how the mediums were tested was with The Bulls**t Detective.
3 mediums - waiting for confirmation of who will be included in segment before I go shouting about it. Watch this space...
Note that in both shows, in the initial phone call, BadPsychics was one of only 3 sources I directed the researchers/producers to. Maybe the people should ask you for advice on how to make the best impact.

Yes we have, in fact BadPsychics was the FIRST site in the WORLD to expose Derek Acorah. Which is why these people should really ask someone such as myself as to the best ways to expose or at the least setup someone like Derek. Yet we wont be, because it seems that the world of TV are only interested in academics, who we all know are often only interested in grants and self publicity to sell books and so on. Look at all the so called experts in the sceptical field, ALL of them have their trashy books, and all of them are only interested in ridiculous grants to investigate rubbish. Lets hope you did a good job, so we can get behind you. See my above post, am I close? They should, because it seems that every time these people go elsewhere they end up making a hash of things. I mean how hard is it to expose someone who claims to talk to the dead, for christs sake. With the exception of Tony Youens and Philip Escoffey (Genius) can you name anyone out there who has actually done anything worth while in this country to expose mediums in the last 10 years? And if you say Yvette Fielding i will scream so loud your hair will go back to its original colour!

Some more info on the Acorah show. I spoke to Nik who in turn heard about this originally and told me. The female researcher who claimed to be possessed was apparently so by a dead person called Kevin (or a similar name)

Hmmm, I was thinking that the name Kevin Wade sounded familiar and it has just clicked. Kevin Wade www.surefire.uk.com/kevwade.htmThis guy if my memory is right, is a good friend of Fred Batt. Does that name sound familiar to anyone? Well if my memory is right, he was an investor in Antix and a good buddy of Karl Beattie! Now that is very interesting, dont you think? I hope Karl doesnt have any connections to this show, if he does he could end up pissing off some very powerful people

The funny thing is that the show with the 3 mediums is sounding more interesting than the other BBC piece of crap looking at Acorah
