I doubt it will be any more than a speck on the career of Derek, the BBC are not the best when it comes to these things as past experience tells us

But we already knew that!
The believers will simply say that if you lie to spirit they will lie back.

They obviously didn't show all the bits they filmed but I reckon that must have been one of the best bits!! It well and truly showed him for what he is.....

It didn't show him for nothing....it just showed a reading that was heavily edited! I actually remember that man being there!

Yep but he falsely claimed the spirit didn't he as his Grandad and Sam is supposed to have told Derek the reading was definitely for him, hilarious.

erm was that it? What a waste of time I'm inclined to agree, could have done what they did better in a billion different ways. Nonetheless, I'm digitizing it now!

Well I think the programme showed him for what he is a person that cold reads and makes things fit the situation he finds himself in, i'd say the conman has definately been conned wouldn't you, and if there is more to be shown maybe the BBC will keep it for another day.

The problem was that like pink said, the clip was heavily edited, so we are dealing with the same problem as when we analyse a Colin Fry clip.
And again the excuse i have heard from psychics before is that if you lie to spirit they will lie back.

Mmmm, convenient. That goes up there with 'Bad things happen because although God is omnipotent, he gave man free will.'

I've been to one of his previous shows where he has said about somebody breaking a bed, seems to me that his shows could very well be scripted
