Here we have another 'International' Medium, remember folks, you only have to leave the Country to be 'International'.
Christine was brought to our attention by forum member 'Shmumph' after Christine posted on the LivingTV forum 'touting' for a job on Most Haunted:
"hello my name is christine hamlett i am a international clairvoyant medium and spiritual artist i have a vast amount of experience, i have appeared on this morning itv uk, bbc television and numerous radio shows. I currently feature in chat its fate with my own column i have appaered in various national newspapers and also "woman" magazine. Also famous for working on the Moors Muders i also specialise in working on cold cases both in uk and abroad. yours hporfully
christine."
As a member of the LivingTV site stated:
I couldn't agree more....
So, it was time to take a look at her website and see what she was offering. www.christinehamlett.com
Now, there is a fair amount of information to work through, but I shall start with my favourite, 'Spirit Guides'. Christine claims to be assisted by two 'Spirit Guides', an Oriental woman called Loni, and....
"AN iNDIAN GUIDE CALLED JOE TWO TREES LAST OF THE ALONQUIN TRIBE HE PLAYS A BIG PART IN THE PSYCHIC SKETCHES AND WAS VERY CREATIVE HIMSELF WHEN ON THE EARTHPLANE........."
I have a little problem with 'Joe', nothing personal Joe, but I have my doubts about a guides abilities to assist when they cant even get their own background right. You see, 'Joe Two Trees' was a 'real' person, or so we are told by Theodore L. Kazimiroff, the author of "The last Algonquin".
The story is about Kazimiroff's Father who, aged twelve, met Joe and formed a friendship with him. Joe claimed to be the last of the local Algonquin Tribe. Notice the subtle difference? The 'local' Algonquin tribe, not THE Algonquin tribe. Joe was actually a member of the Weckquaesgek band of the Algonquin people, in the Turtle Clan. I managed to find a cached page from the now closed website of The Algonquin Nation:
There are today estimated to be around 8,000 Algonquin living in Canada.
Kazimiroff' titled the book "The last Algonquin" as Joe Two Trees, at that time, believed he was the last Indian alive having been orphaned, he wanted to tell his story so that the spirit of his people would not die with him. Strange how he has told Christine the title of a book as his background rather than his true origin don't you think?
Why, 'in spirit' would Joe claim to be the last of a tribe of people of whom there are 8000 left? He was in all probability, the last of the Weckquaesgek band, why would he claim to be otherwise? A very strange way to 'keep the spirit of his people alive'. I wonder if Christine owns any books by Kazimiroff?
In my opinion, if you are going to abuse the heritage of American Indians to add some 'credibility' to your 'Spiritual side' the very least you can do is be polite and do some research on your chosen character first.
Christine also claims to be famous for 'working' on the Moors murders. To be more precise, the case of Keith Bennett. What has she done I hear you ask? Well, as it happens, nothing. Keith Bennett's body has never been found. She claims that Keith had communicated with her during a seance and...
(Jackie is her sister-in-law)
Now Christine makes no mention of Keiths Mother, Winnie, until,
"the day before our trip to the moors we were contacted by a manchester reporter who asked if he could come to the moors with us he told us he knew Keiths mum Winnie.....W said he could come we also had with us a northwich reporter from the northwich chronicle called Anthony Harvison"
So let me get this right, she must have contacted either the dead boys Mother, or the press, BEFORE even going onto to Moors? Two reporters? Perhaps it's just me but maybe a bit of evidence would have been good before contacting his Mother or the papers? For 40 years this poor woman has been left wondering about the location of her son's body, and she is told 'I know where he is, he told me'?
Lets step back a minute:
That will undoubtedly be where his body is then? Well, actually no. As Christine herself states on her website:
"I have read a few times on different message boards etc that we were mistaken and that the area....were we believe Keith's body lies, has been checked and there is nothing there ....This is a lie.....
Only the area where the yellow ribbon was found has been checked ... Keith is in this area no one ever said X marks the spot."
Only the area where the ribbon was found? Didn't Keith tell Christine "he would leave something yellow where his body could be found". Is that not "X marks the spot"?
Apparently not so, Keith is in "this area". That 'area' being 'the Moors' by any chance? So, a victim of the Moors Murderers is buried on the Moors. Absolutely bloody genius. Truly. Still, it made for a good couple of newspaper reports about 'working on the Moors Murderers Case' didn't it?
Lets not forget, even though his body was never found, Christine still feels the need to to publicise the fact that she basically wasted everybodies time as though it was some sort of achievement, and is in the process of writing 'her' opinion about the Moors Murders.
Christine has also broached the McCann case, with various drawings and 'dreams'. The drawings are accompanied by such text as:
Computers? In a work place? No way! That must narrow things down a bit.....
Thankfully she makes no mention of contacting the Police with her information. If only the same could be said about the murder of Julia Webb in 1998.
I was running it was dark I was returning home from a friends house . as I ran towards home a man stepped out of the darkness he was wearing a black leather coat and had with him a black and white dog like a boarder collie..He grabbed my arms I looked into his face his nose was pointed and he had a cruel grin on his face ....Straight away the words came into my mind Julia Webb. This was the man who had murdered her....... I woke up in a sweat
But, guess what....
I don't believe it, you mean to tell me the Police failed to make a conviction based on a dream and a sketch? Outrageous! What the hell do we pay our taxes for?
Oh I wonder, I really do......Perhaps she's a Psychic?
People like yourself? You mean Psychics with an outstanding record of providing substantial evidence and solving murder cases? People who have successfully located missing bodies from 40 year old crimes? What's the count again? Oh, that's right, none... I forgot......
I don't know, those Police eh? All that silly attitude about requiring evidence for a conviction... just think of the overtime they could rack up chases pointless 'psychic leads'. It's not like they have anything better to do is it?
"Psychometrics"?
"Well Guv, you see, it's like this. This Psychic popped in the Nick, wanted a butchers at some of the evidence we'd seized. I said she could hold it, I mean, whats the harm eh Guv? Anyway, no, don't look at me like that, I know it's probably contaminated it now but she said she was getting vibrations right? Yeah, I know Boss, I couldn't see the handbag wobbling or nothing, but, she said the bloke we're looking for is.. erm... a bloke. So can I have a few hours overtime to look into it? Guv? You do know I could report you to HR for punching me in the mouth don't you?....."
Christine and her Sister-in-Law are also involved with a TV show called 'Rescue Mediums' which is shown on 'Discovery Health and Home' on 'WeTV', a woman's channel in the States and 'W Network' in Canada alongside such programs as "Take this house and sell it":
Dammit I wish I could come up with lines like that....
Although I can't actually find any footage of this particular program, it appears by the write up that it's a cross between Derek Acorahs Ghost Towns and Most Haunted. Two 'Mediums' visit 'haunted' places and 'release souls'. Sounds like a blast.....
Right, I'm going to see if I can raise the Spirit of Joe Two Trees and see if I can find out if he recalls who he was yet.....

The Algonquins are a nation of families. Band structure was based on the ties of the extended family. Each of these extended families, and each Band, had clearly defined territories for hunting and trapping. Several extended families made up a "Band".
There are today estimated to be around 8,000 Algonquin living in Canada.

Computers? In a work place? No way! That must narrow things down a bit.....
Thankfully she makes no mention of contacting the Police with her information. If only the same could be said about the murder of Julia Webb in 1998.
I SAW THE MAN WHO DID THIS TERRIBLE CRIME IN A DREAM AND SKETCHED HIM I ALSO GAVE THE POLICE ANY INFORMATION I HAD BEEN GIVEN CLAIRVOYANTLY..
The police were asked about my information and said I had been helpful....Unfortunatly this murder still is unsolved
I don't believe it, you mean to tell me the Police failed to make a conviction based on a dream and a sketch? Outrageous! What the hell do we pay our taxes for?
A reporter from a local paper rang me about my dream I dont know how she found out about it.
Oh I wonder, I really do......Perhaps she's a Psychic?
I have asked the police if I could touch something belonging to Mrs Webb so I could do psychometrics....but this has been refused I truly wish the police would try to use people such as myself to help with this kind of cold case
People like yourself? You mean Psychics with an outstanding record of providing substantial evidence and solving murder cases? People who have successfully located missing bodies from 40 year old crimes? What's the count again? Oh, that's right, none... I forgot......

Margie saves the day by taking this house overrun by ferrets and spinning it into a more family friendly roost
Dammit I wish I could come up with lines like that....
