Just discovered a truly dire item in the Femail section of the Daily Fail

You can read the story yourselves, but I am extremely concerned about this kind of uncritical bulls*it being published as a serious news story.
Basically as Fail reporter, distressed and vulnerable at her separation from a manipulative ex, decides to consult an "Angel Therapist" to help her cut the ties to her ex.

A number of elements of the story are interesting to me.
Firstly the "therapist" claims that there are cords like hollow tubes in a person's aura that connect them to former lovers and that can leave them vulnerable to negative influences from them so if the ex has a bad day you have one too. Now this idea, insane as it may sound, originated in the writings of the fake shaman and cult leader Carlos Castanada. According to him it was psychic worms that infested people and linked them to former lovers and left them open to negative energy. Various criminal and cults use variations on this concept to financially or sexually abuse their victims.
Secondly I googled for Elizabeth Rose and discovered her website which is here
www.rosylife.co.uk
where the following information appears
Today I work as a successful Angel TherapistTM Psychic, Clairvoyant, Healer and Coach. I use various healing techniques such as Angel Therapy® Angelic Reiki, Shamanism, Life Coaching and NLP. My skills cover a wide range of services all designed to assist you in achieving your dreams.

so aftera google search I discover where she learned her emotrance
sidereus.org/emotrance_online_course.htm

this is where she learned her shamanism
www.goddessofthegrove.co.uk/pages/about-us-contact/1348
a dubious website if ever there was one. The webmistress Claire Powell claims to be a shaman and medicine woman but provides no information as to her lineage. She works with a woman called Karen Rule who is apparently ar Counsellor, Life Coach and Psychic Surgeon.
I just despair I really do. Vulnerable people need the support of friends or possibly proper therapy with a qualified therapist who works in a normal way, not some inasnio woo merchant promoted by the Daily fail
