Members of this forum I have received this email. Have a look at the video. It is a 30 minute film commissioned by SOSYWEN to screen on Ghana TV, as part of their educational campaign to reintegrate the women of the 'witches' camps'. ============================== Greetings from London I was pleased to learn that you will be marking the anniversary of a peak in witch hunting in Scotland.. Is it possible that as part of your events, you might draw attention to the terrible wave of witch hunts currently spreading around thew world, especially prevalent in Africa where unscrupulous priests and missionaries are still spreading ideas about women being dangerous, evil, etc? Lately I made a film for a Ghanaian women's empowerment network (see www.sosywen.org) who campaign to stop the terrrible human rights abuse of women accused of witchcraft, a plague which is also spreading in marginalised communities in the cities of the UK... You can see some clips from the film on my website: www.zoeyoung.net. My father, Lord Kennet, brought forward legislation in the UK against female genital mutilation, another issue affecting African women very terribly. I almost feel that since he died two years ago, I have been called to continue that work in some way.. With very best wishes Zoe

I think what happens in parts of Africa is so sad, always down to religious beliefs
