These people are so brave or stupid depending upon how you look at their antics. I can not look, as my stomach turns over at even the thought of jumping out into nothingness.

Weather conditions have pushed the start time to 1.30pm now! I am genuinely excited about this attempt.
The Kittenger video is one of my favourite videos ever, so to see someone beat his record is just awe inspiring!

Austrian adventurer Felix Baumgartner has been frustrated in his attempt to make the highest ever skydive. Unfavourable winds at Roswell, New Mexico, have prevented the launch of the helium balloon that was to take him to more than 120,000ft (36.5km). Meteorologists say Thursday now looks to be next best day for a record bid. www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19884699

The wait continues.... Austrian adventurer Felix Baumgartner has decided against a second attempt to make the highest ever skydive on Thursday. Gusty winds at Roswell, New Mexico, have prevented the launch of the helium balloon that was to take him to more than 120,000ft (36.5km). His meteorologist has now ruled out a Thursday jump, and the team will hold a briefing to talk about next steps www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19904251
