Thats bloody good .... IF it happens.
Can't see it myself .... the right wing fundamentalists will not allow it ... don't forget the huge amounts of cash they can lay their hands on.
Still ,fingers crossed ... it might just come off .... inshallah.

They've tried to do something similar with natural hairstyles (dreadlocks etc) which now have to conform to a certain standard. Campaigners against the new rules are forcing congress to review the situation. My guess is the same will happen regarding chaplains.

Meanwhile in Britain....
A Freedom of Information request from the Sunday People reveals the changing face of Britain's armed forces.
The paper discovered that the services have 60 "witches" who list their religion as Wiccan within their ranks - as well as 300 Rastafarians, 360 Pagans and 160 Spiritualists.
An MoD spokesman told the paper: "We want to create a workforce which is drawn from the breadth of the society we defend."
But the paper voices suspicions that some squaddies are using "alternative" religions to get out of church parades.

May be a spoof but the US army Chaplin service does in fact violate the separation of church and state as contained in the 2nd amendment of the US constitution.
