I have been asked many times actually. I know various techniques, I am not amazing at them, but I am ok. The problem is that you already know I would be faking it, so psychologically you would be prepared to look for the ways i was doing it, which actually makes my job 10 times harder. And anything I say, you would probably figure out how I did it pretty easily, so if I hot read I am at a disadvantage, and if I cold read, i dont want to just do a vague astrology type reading, or guess a few names.
Ok lets start the reading, Hopefully you have not mentioned any of this on the forum, I haven't gone through your posts, so that I the only thing I will promise I haven't done. Remember please do not take any offense at anything I say, it is 100% faked, I wont say the exact methods, but if i get things right it is fake. So please do not take offense and I apologise in advance if I say anything upsetting.
I am getting a strong connection to New York, not sure if the State or the City, or both, although I have little knowledge of the place outside of the name. I would say you have a long connection to NY one that is longer than decade for sure. I am also getting a connection with Maine, i would say this is a paternal connection, so on your fathers side. I am also getting a grandmother figure coming through in spirit, this would be on your fathers side, so also connected to Maine. I think you always liked to visit your fathers family, they loved you very much and you always felt welcome. For some reason I am seeing a giant tree, so maybe that means something to you in connection to your father. But I was hoping to connect with my husband!! Actually my mouth was agape at the start of the reading, I am from Ny and have lived here my whole life. My father really is from Maine and we did visit every summer as kids. That's about where the hits end though lol. I cannot make a connection with anything else that makes sense really. I can stretch it I guess because I used to ride a bike and was just talking about getting a new one. Common names used mean nothing to me. I am possibly making a move out of state soon. I think the bike thing is a hit then, you used to ride and are talking ab out getting a new one. Regarding NY and Maine, lets just say I could have been much more specific with regards to Maine, but didn't want to take the piss. The ship building and giant tree stuff were educated guesses, which sadly failed on this, however if I was a psychic I would have told you to take that away with you and ask your family members, and I am pretty sure that if you did that, you would find a connection in the end, as like i said the guesses were educated ones and not blind guesses, the names were blind guesses though, which in a so called real reading would just be forgotten about since they missed.
The point is the whole reading was faked, some major bits hit perfectly, some could be interpreted to fit, and some just missed completely. Isn't this how every reading goes?
If you had had this exact reading with some padding and some astrology type stuff thrown in too, you would have gone away thinking there was no way I could have known some of that stuff, therefore I must be psychic. But like i said just because you dont know how a trick is done, doesn't make it any less of a trick.

Ok I see how it was done! The three hits (I'll give u the cycling one) are connected to the email adress I used when I registered here and a search in Google. At first I had forgotten that I had to use my email to register here (duh) and I couldn't understand how you got that from my first name only. It makes me wonder how a medium can get any hits when she has no prior knowledge of who you are. As you said I guess they are very practiced. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

The point is you never truly know how much info you give a psychic. An email address, a name, your IP address actually gave me New York not your email address. Now imagine I had your name and paypal details, or your credit card etc, these are things you give a psychic. I knocked up my reading with about 3 minutes research. Imagine what I could find after an hour.

It used to, but doesnt any more, but I believe the Admin account can see your IP address, if I go to your profile etc, it is to allow us to Ban IPs from trolls etc. Unfortunately IPs are often shared, and are not always that accurate, plus there are ways if you know how, of changing your IP to appear in any country.
But basically if you post on ANY forum, the admins etc, have access to enough about you, that you can be searched and info found out.

Usually an IP address, when searched can get you to the general area, or to put it easier the first bit of your post code. Again IPs can be faked, and are often shared, so they are not a guarantee.

The sheer amount of info someone can find out if they want would amaze you.
Basically if a psychic is a bit too specific, then you know they have cheated. If they keep it vague, and throw out a lot of info, then that is cold reading.
Also keep in mind if you set up a fake profile, a psychic can defend themselves by saying "if you lie to spirit they will lie to you" Ive heard that excuse a few times
