The Rev. Bob Larson has been kicked, bruised, choked, and spit upon. His ribs have been broken, he has been scratched and bitten, and he's received death threats. But Mr. Larson has not been deterred from his calling, which is casting out demons and helping people get back on the road to healing. Read More

It should be pointed out that this guy is far from being a neo Father Merrin. He's a long time TV and radio evangelist. He crusaded against rock music, Wiccans (Well, let's face it all non Christians),Satanic conspiracies, as well as demons. He has had a long beef over the existence of Satanic ritual abuse, despite the lack of any evidence of it occurring (Thousands of stories of murdered children and adults and no missing people or piles of bodies.). But he was passionate about that conspiracy, "there unquestionably is a (Satanic) conspiracy." He apparently did some exorcisms over the airwaves with callers (No idea how that would work.). He got more and more extreme and weird. He has put out many books (some that have gotten him in legal trouble - ghost writer), including Book of Cults, which includes amongst its cults Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam (Again, anything no t Christian.), Satanist (Wiccans, and all pagans), etc. Also his show became more and more a telethon, and plenty was just old recordings replayed and staged to make the point people needed to give more...for God's sake. All of this and the growing questions of how he was handling finances and other activities led to listeners and backers backing off. Doesn't help when you go places and say things like with from an article: "Bob said he needed $18,000 to bring his Bob Larson Ministry broadcasts to several new 'outlets.' His suggestion: turn over your Permanent Fund Dividend check. 'Three of you tonight will write a check for $3,000,' he prophesied. " www.anchoragepress.com/archives/document1af3.htmlSo the traveling exorcist is his next stage of life. Though it is far from unprofitable for him (Heck he sells DVD's of it.). He always reminds the audience of how many thousands of dollars he'd like. Funny how the news people recording or taking notes seem to miss those parts. Here's a link to a religious mag that was concerned about Bob's activity and was looking into him, his history, discrepancies, claims. www.cornerstonemag.com/features/iss100/larson.htmHere are some sites with plenty of thoughts on Bob: www.weirdcrap.com/recreational/bobfiles.htmwww.holysmoke.org/wicca/bl.htmwww.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=cabc&c=whs&id=4795Now, of course, if one is fervent enough about Christianity that you believe that all that aren't in the group are pawns of Satan. And that the shadows are full of evil minions, and that every death was likely a Satanists work...Bob Larson is the sharp thinking kind of guy for ya. I'm just trying to remember if he was the guy I once heard say he could exorcize bad feelings and thoughts as they were caused by Satan? And I still have no idea why some in the Vatican have cozied up to him. Wierd...
