Mavis Joy went to Adam to get healed and says her lymphadema did not get better. And another time, when "Primetime" cameras were rolling, Adam correctly diagnosed a woman as having minor back and shoulder problems but completely missed her bigger problem: breast cancer.

There is a belief among the ancient healing arts that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself, the healing power of nature. Now I do believe that a positive attitude helps, but I don't think it can help someone who's cancer has invaded most of their body or some suchlike devastating illness. It may give them more time but ultimately will win.  |

A positive outlook and self belief can and does help.
I have seen someone who was given 6 month, live for over 18 months because of their positive outlook and love of their family etc.
And I also believe that sometimes the body can heal itself, but it cannot heal the more serious diseases, although in very rare cases strange things do happen, and when they do its usually put down to some mystical belief, when the truth is, sometimes the body does amazing things.

There's also a belief amongst scientists that this is true, in fact every Doctor you meet will tell you the body can heal itself. Ever heard of an immune system? The body constantly creates new cells to replace old ones all the time. How else would we get rid of all those bumps, cuts, bruises etc. So this isn't supernatural. In some rare circumstances the body also manages to fight off much more serious issues too without external aid. It's also been demonstrated that by thinking about certain things related to being you can influence the body to make more antibodies. |
