As a twim myself i have experienced many weird thing ie, experiencing my sisters pain, buying the same things even though we are not together and i could be thinking of something and my sister says it word for word before i do, we are not freaked out when it happens we just laugh at each other while other people cant understand it which is pretty funny at times.......so can anyone shed some light on this.

exsperts think that identical twins have a deeper bond with each other than other siblings and also Identical twins are literally a mirror image of each other...I read some where and I cant think for the life of me which magazine it was, but apparently some Dr had wrote ' identical twins are natural clones, so there fore will think and act the same' isnt that lovely being called a clone !!
My mother is an identical twin and for years us children from both twins got the same birthday presents, xmas presents and so on, and the amazing thing is my cousin and myself both think along the same lines too.
Some times I wonder though if it is how twins are brought up....they are always dressed the same by the parents, bought the same things..though now the trend seems to be changing and twins are dressed differently and treat as individuals, but in my mums day they were more or less treat as one person.
Or maybe it is just like I said at the beginning, with being identical the bond is deeper.

I agree with the possibility that when it comes to buying things there is the question of two people having the same tastes and therefore making the same choices. However, what about the "pain" thing. My ex had twin boys and they seemed to know how the other was feeling even if there was a distance between them. On one occassion one twin was off school ill..at 12:30 (dinner time in school) he told me that his brother had fallen and hurt himself. A little while later I was at the school picking up the other twin as he had indeed fallen in the playground and had cut his head.
Coincidence or something deeper ?

;DInteresting, i am an identical twin and im 20 minutes older than my sister, the funny thing is that people stop me in the street and thinking that im Tracy (the other one)and they start having a conversation with me while im thinking "who the f**k are you" so i just go along with it cause i cant be arsed to explain to them and family and friends dont call us by our names they just call us "twin".

I have a strange but very true story about twins that just goes to show how big coincidences can be.
My mother and father were walking in the Brecon Beacons when a gentleman dressed in Ghurka outfit stopped him. He had been doing exercises on the mountain and had just met with his wife and baby. He asked my father to take a picture of them and handed my dad his camera. My father took the picture and they went on their way.
A week later my father was in a photography shop in Swansea some 20 miles away. There, in the shop was the Ghurka (or so my father thought). He approached the gentleman and asked him how the photograph had turned out. The man looked confused and said he didn't know what my father was talking about so my father reminded him of the full tale. Suddenly the man seemed to understand and he explained that his twin brother was a ghurka and would have been in that area on that day. My father thought he was taking the mick until he pulled out a photograph from his wallet..there was him, his twin brother (in ghurka uniform) and the wife and child..all together..
and they say coincidences don't happen !

my little sisters are twins, but not identical, one looks exactly like me and if people havent seen us all for a while they think im one of the twins, but we often buy each other the same stuff, or i will think of her and she will ring me within minutes, but she does not get these vibes with her twin, just me?? I dont know why this is, i am closer to her than the other twin, so maybe thats why, but shes alot closer to me than her own twin, which i find odd, maybe its cos there not identical??

I have an aunt and uncle who are twins, (although, clearly, not identical... that would just be plain weird! ;D)
Odd thing is though, you wouldn't even think they were related, let alone shared a womb. They are inconsequential to each others lives and barely in touch *shrugs*.

Ok let me say what the sceptics here would call unrealistic Just maybe because the identical twins are split from the same fertilised egg, their lives are destined to be similar! Of course you'd have to believe in some kind of predestined life, but an interesting thought.

I get the same thing with close friends too. you know what they will say or when something is happening to them etc. Me and my best friend once brought the same skirt with out realising!!! So maybe it comes down to spendng a lot of time with a person.

They have a story line where identical twins are being confused and one of them is a murderer and the wrong twin has been arrested.

Slightly stepping away from the topic - but I always said if I had twins I would never, ever dress them the same. Don't know why - just wouldn't!

my mum had labour pains when my aunty was in labour (before mum knew) - theyre not twins though.
