Okay, I had a strange experience this morning, and I'm looking for explanations from all quarters.
I was waiting at my bus stop, watching the traffic go by *slowly* on a very snowy road, and I heard a voice which I took to be a child or young girl singing. I turned around, because I honestly thought she had come up behind me and was standing next to me.
Not a sign of anyone on foot. I glanced across the street, where the kids walk to their grade-school a few blocks away. No kids waiting to cross, in the cross-walk, or on the other side.
Has this happened to anyone else?
What do you suppose the answer is?
All viewpoints welcome.

Could've been a passing car, the wind could've easily made the voice sound like it was behind you etc.

Most of the time I work from home, being the good hubby I am started hoovering the stairs. I was about halfway through, when someone called my name, not once but a couple of times. Shouting back "hang on wont be a mo" I switched off the Vax went downstairs, Yep you guessed no one there. There was no radio/ TV on, my office is at the rear of my house so would not hear comp sounds, whats more amazing I thought it was my dad but he passed away 3 years ago. And I am sceptical ?

it is, dont think i was dismissing what you said, its happened to me before, so i know it can be really freaky! but there are endless logical reasons for it, well i think there are anyway

I've heard one of my children call me. Its happened a couple of times since I've been in this house (12 months). They've been at school.
I don't remember it happening before...

again its the subconcious thing, if you had been thinking of them, that may be why?

Okay...so this happened one time... Why would you be freaked by this. It could have been anything, such has the wind carrying a voice or an echo. Or even a car sound that for some weird reason made you think you heard this little girl. Thinking rationally about these things should be the first thing and blowing it off should be the second thing.

I think it can be a sign od tiredness. Sometimes in these moments and when it is very quiet, the voices in your head can come accross very audibly.

I hear voices in my lounge every day but when I go in there, its always empty. The strange thing is it's always after the kids have been in there and left the telly on- does this count?
