Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd. Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd. Round about the caldron go; In the poison'd entrails throw.— Toad, that under cold stone, Days and nights has thirty-one; Swelter'd venom sleeping got, Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!
Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. Fillet of a fenny snake, In the caldron boil and bake; Eye of newt, and toe of frog, Wool of bat, and tongue of dog, Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,— For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf; Witches' mummy; maw and gulf Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark; Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark; Liver of blaspheming Randi; Gall of goat, and bits of Candy Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse; Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips; Finger of birth-strangled babe Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,— Make the gruel thick and slab: Add thereto a tiger's chaudron, For the ingrediants of our caldron.
Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. Cool it with a baboon's blood, Then the charm is firm and good.
Spot the edit for political correctness and modern-day relevance.

Aren't all religions/belief systems made up? A belief is made up? explain a belief..to wholly 100% to believe in something, whatis it derived from, how did it come about? I said 'belief systems' not beliefs. Non-empirical belief systems, like religions, are made up (imaginary if you like) as there is not a single shred of evidence to show that they are true. As for 'beliefs'. The term 'belief' is highly equivocal so we'd have to agree what we mean by 'belief'. See: beliefs. Arguing about beliefs often leads to awful debates as everyone uses the term with a different meaning each time. Also... It is quite common in debates for people to state something like "that's just your opinion" - in other words, attempting to turn factual statements into statements of belief. It's a common tactic with people who hold unjustified beliefs.

You guys dont seem to know about the latest fad in making ones Craft practise sound more real/solid/respecable (and ego pleasing). It involves declaring your actually a Traditional Witch, and that you follow an older (yes even older) heathen path. You dont mind cursing and are actually a very dangerous person, so beware.
The blokes love this one more than the ladies I find.
How do I know? Because that was me for a few years. But then when I was 12, I also believed I was a vampire, so hey ho.
Anyway, I spotted a few holes in the whole craft thing and it started to crumble for me then.
I still think folk magic was the original NLP. You make yourself suggestable, you focus and `swish`. Suggestable: NLP- relaxing, breathing patterns Folk magic- incense, being outside at night somewhere scary
Focusing: NLP -enlarging images, making brighter Folk magic-repeating charms, shouting charms, concentrating on images
End result: NLP- Swish tecnique (sp?) Faolk magic- believing the future has been changed to suit you, rather than believing you will act subconsciously to make changes.

It is very much about intention than the magic or tools used themselves I have to admit.

Yep. But the candles, incense, tools and especially the wine is so much more fun.
