Need some input..

I'm not sure where else to post this - I'm hoping for some thoughts on a recent experience I had.

At the end of our bed there is a gap of about 2 or 3 feet and that's where OH's guitar sits on it's guitar stand. About a week or so ago I was woken up by the guitar being strummed - just once - as though someone had brushed against it when they walked past. I sat up to see what was going on, thinking one of the kids had come into our room but there was nothing there. I thought I'd dreamt it and said no more about it.
The next day OH said he had a really "weird dream" about his guitar strumming. I told him what had happend to me and we checked the guitar. The thing that goes on the fretboard (or whatever it's called) was still there .. we thought it might have pinged off and made the noise .. but it didn't.
We ruled out the fact that it had been brushed by the edge of the quilt, because it was just too far away. It couldn't have been our cat because she stays in the conservatory at night.

Frankly we were baffled.

Since then I've had some odd sensations. I'll see the cat out of the corner of my eye an when I look up she's not there. I'll be washing up (for example) and feel our cat brushing up against my legs. I'll look down and she won't be there ... and I'll find she's asleep in her basket. I've had that quite a few times and quite frankly the whole thing is getting on my t*ts now.

Any suggestions anybody ... or am I just on the start of a brain embolism of something!!

If it only happened the once it will be difficult to investigate.

If something in the house is causing it, it should happen again but if it was something outside (lorry going by, aircraft) then it probably won't.

Could the cat have come into your room anyway, even though it sleeps downstairs.

I would call in the MH team, Koolg, but I don't have enough stones in the garden.....

The cat definitely wasn't in the house. I can only think one of the kids came into the bedroom and went out again ?? but this seems very unlikely. Any time the kids come into the bedroom at night they come straight to me (and they don't have to go past the guitar) to prod me awake!

It could have been heavy lorries/aircraft or something like that, but nothing like this as ever happend before so it does rule it out slightly.

I've wracked my brains trying to think up a logical and rational reason for this ... and I'm not coming up trumps. It's eating away at OH as well because he absolute hates anything he can't explain.

Maybe the whole "cat rubbing around the legs" feeling is varicose veins on the way and the rest of it can be put down to some mild brain disease!!!

Sometimes there is just no normal explanation, maybe you should try and recreate the conditions and set up a camcorder and see what happens.
