They properly scoffed a packet of warfarin each in a suicide pact which thinned their blood causing massive gasto bleeding. They both survived a few hours giving the drug time to become undetectable in the blood. Then they died from hypovolemia. Ahhhhh I should be a detective.

I think they would have detected warfarin in their blood during the autopsy.

not if they lived long enough for the drug to be out of their system, both weak from blood loss and unable to summon help. I know! they both had ulcerative guts or stomach, both refused to go to the doctors as they had similar symptoms and therefore blamed the local curry shop as the cause of their discomfort. On day the old man punched his wife in the gut because he was sick to death of the lack of proper food, she in retaliation thumps him back. Both having had the unfortunate effect of rupturing each others gastric ulcers and both checked out to the book keeper in the sky at the same time.
