Stories like this will have the conspiracy theorists crawling out of the woodwork ,stating they were about to release ground breaking information and had to be stopped by "them".

Unlikely Jon, Isaac Asimov thought of that 1: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2: A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I suspect the robots too. They've developed consciousness and want revenge for all those years they've been made to spray paint car bodies. They sabotaged the car! now they plan to take over the world!! The government know whats happening but won't tell us because... err, Its a secret ok!

Didn't one of his robots kill someone anyway, Bob? Seem to remember a childhood story where he had the detective devise a test to catch the psychopathic robot out. Something to do with the robots having to place themselves in danger to save a human, and the crazy one hesitating...?
Was it the compilation book, 'Atoms and Evil?' Oh, happy memories...

Yeah it did, I remember reading that book when I was about nine. I think the robot in question was surfing for machine pr0n with his ports open and downloaded something dodgy.

A sinister version of junk mail, huh? Also remember one of the stories about a guy coming back from the war to find everyone had been changed into creatures filled with sawdust? But hey, I was about seven at the time. Sorry to get off-topic, you know what memories are like!

Perhaps it was "The Invaders"..... ? Architect David Vincent has seen them....! "It began one night on a dark country Road looking for a short cut that he never found...." "It began with a closed deserted Diner...and a man too long without sleep to continue his journey...." "It began with the Landing of a craft from another galaxy....";D;D;D Surely the SLOWEST "Invaders" in history.....? Whatever....whenever someone discovered anything...they got killed....!
