I posted this on UK Skeptics a little while ago, but I thought it was worth raising from the dead to astound and bemuse the badpsychics.
Recently I was trying to collate a list of online resources on ethical and philosophical issues in mental health care for use in an undergraduate course for student nurses. I was particularly looking for stuff on the personal and spiritual dimensions of people who may be experiencing mental health difficulties. The ability to "Undertake and document a comprehensive, systematic and accurate nursing assessment of the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of patients, clients and communities" is one of the competencies required for professional registration. Anyway, there I was web-browsing away and lo-and-behold I came across:
A Resource List for the Spirituality and Psychiatry Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists:
Please note this is the ROYAL COLLEGE, the professional and educational body for psychiatrists in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, this is not some bloke in a shed with crystals and broadband. They have helpfully included a resource list:
www.rcpsych.ac.uk/college/specialinterestgroups/spirituality/resources/organisations.aspx
Check out the top named resource, SPIRIT RELEASE!
www.spiritrelease.com/
You too can do a course for just £225:00 (non-residential) and become today's cuddlier kind of exorcist. The course is experientially based and lays the foundation for both the intuitive and interactive methods for freeing trapped or earthbound souls (really!) They have case studies too:
