Good grief. I googled "rapture letters" after watching that. I have never seen anything so twisted in all my life. A chance for people to send an email to friends and family after the second coming of Christ has taken all the believers to heaven. The letter reads:
Dear Friend;
This message has been sent to you by a friend or a relative who has recently disappeared along with millions and millions of people around the world.
The reason they chose to send you this letter is because they cared about you and would like you to know the truth about where they went.
This may come as a shock to you, but the one who sent you this has been taken up to heaven.
If you read a Bible, you will see that after chapter three in the book of Revelation, the church is no longer mentioned as being on earth. (The church are the believers in Jesus Christ, not the buildings in which people meet.)
In the Bible, 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 verses 16 and 17 tell how Jesus came to take away His church. But, you have to believe the Bible is the Word of God in order to believe this.
I am sure that there will be a lot of speculation as to what happened to all these people. The theories of some scientists and world leaders will have so much credibility that most of the world will believe them.
It will sound like the truth!
But, there is only one truth. And, that truth is that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, came back to earth and took with Him to Heaven all who believed in Him and made Him their Lord.
If you would like to give your life to Jesus Christ and be born again, it is not too late. First you must pray to God saying"Father I admit I am a sinner, and I will turn from my sin and do good. I believe that Jesus was your son and that He came here to die for me so that my sins would be forgiven. I ask you to forgive me and I will repent of my sins. In Jesus name I pray."
If you just prayed that prayer and meant it with all your heart, then God will know you as one of His own. You should now seek out others who have also given their lives to Christ, read a Bible daily, and do your best to bring others to Christ.
God bless you.
Good grief..... How is the letter sent? Apparently using a "dead mans handle", the emails will be sent if a switch is not reset. I just bloody well hope his server doesn't go down, imagine receiving an email with the phrase "This may come as a shock to you, but the one who sent you this has been taken up to heaven." in it!!
Quote "recently disappeared along with millions and millions of people around the world."
Am I to understand that during "the rapture" the actual physical bodies of the believers will be taken to heaven? That'll be a first for Christianity, I always thought it was just the soul that was taken. This means that Heaven must be a physical place, and after the second coming, it will be a place half filled with souls without bodies, those who died before the second coming, and the other half WITH bodies! Surely this will lead to discord in Heaven.
Those with and those without. Whats going to be better, a body or not? The souls were there first, will there be "souls only" places? "No Bodies served here". This I'm sure will lead to segregation, after all, if you have a body, you need to put clothes on, even in heaven I cant believe we would be expected to walk around in the nip. But. What use would a clothes shop be to a soul? Or a bar? Surely a soul, having no opposable thumbs could enjoy a drink with "Bodied relative"? "Hey Uncle Mick! Fancy a Drin.....oh, never mind...." I see almost a "Body Ghetto" developing in Heaven.
Would the bodies age? Would I retain the one I was taken in? Can I have a nip and a tuck before I get there? If I was taken during the second coming and I was in a 93 year old body, I would feel great animosity toward any soul I met that didn't have to suffer incontinence and loss of memory as I did! Perhaps we are made eternally young, that again may not be a good thing, I look back in horror at the hairstyle I had in the late 70's, I'm not sure I could cope with having that again, and this time... for eternity.
Do we get prior warning that we are going? Can I have a shower before we leave? Do I need a toothbrush? Have the souls of previous employees of Boots the Chemist set up shop already with a range of skincare for souls without skin, "coming soon! toothbrushes for our new arrivals!"
Mores the point, If I promise to give my life to Jesus, when I'm taken, can I have one of those pantomime puffs of smoke when I go, no real reason, its just that if I'm shopping in Woolworth's at the time, I think it would look REALLY cool. No hang on, Id like the Alice in Wonderland Cheshire cat version, where I slowly fade away, and all that left is a smile..... Dave.
