This ran in England recently. It was done by Stewart Lee, who helped write Jerry Springer the Opera, and got all sorts of hell from the religious and pious. So he looks at why it is wrong to...blaspheme. It was interesting to see the role Rowan Atkinsoin played in the fight to preserve free speech in England. It is broken into 4 parts across the blog. what gets me about people offended by blasphemy is that they obviously don't think that their god is all that if they cant rise above it.....religion is full of contradictions...the greates contradiction in christianity for example is that we are supposedly condemned to an afterlife of burning in hell if we ever question gods unconditional love.....PMSL  |
