My brother-in-law died 3 years ago and hadn't been to the Catholic Church in years. He was graced with a beautiful ceremony, one of the best I have ever been to in any church. How many couples have wanted a church wedding when they don't even attend church? Some ministers or priests will accept them and some will not, it depends on the attending cleric. It works both ways you know.

Look, there are good and bad people in every walk of life... The fact that there are some priests who abuse the trust they have by abusing children does not mean all priests are bad. Equally, there may be nuns who behave badly, but it shouldn't tar the majority. My mum deliberately failed her 11-plus exam as she was terrified of the nuns at the school she would go to if she passed. She had a taste of it, as a left handed person, she had her left hand tied behind her back and was forced to write with her right hand. Any use of the left hand resulted in a crack on the knuckles as it was the"devils" hand... utter nonsense, but very real for a frightened child.

Panarama was on last night and it was about the Vatigan protecting priests who sexually abuse children, instead of punishing them they just move them to another parish.

i honestly think if you look at the majority of problems this world faces, religion seems to cause alot of them in one way or another Or perhaps the politics of religion
