A fair justice system is the backbone of a democracy, guilty until proven innocent - unless you're wearing a helmut! Then it's the other way round.

The swing has gone to far. If people do not want to live by our laws and rules then PISS OFF. I for one have had enough. I am no fan of the BNP but two of there members were found not guilty, now there is talk of changing the law of racial hatred. Where was the talk when Muslims and others are protesting on our street with placards full of hate. They want equality ,fine. That cuts both ways. Absolutely agree lowrider.

They choose our country because of the benefits. My father was married to my mom (English) and living happily in Cyprus. When the Turks invaded he was alowed to come to England because he was already married to my mom. My dad has addapted to the English way of life and has never claimed a days benefit in his life. If my dad could go home, he would go back in a flash, and my mom would go with him too. I can understand people wanting to leave war torn countries, or to come here for a better quality of life, but when they do get here, they should bloody well make the effort to fit in. Instead of segregating themselves into little pockets of their own community etc wher ethe rest of society doesnt feel welcome. The Greek community in our town are wonderful, they came here, having to leave the country they love, and started their businesses, worked their ar**s off and became part of our community too. They brought a lot of trade to our town. Unfortunately the lastest immigrants to our town have only brought higher crime figures.

like lowrider says..the busdriver getting sacked for this incident is the pendulum swinging too far....and indeed, she should be banned for using busses for life....its time we got some reality and common sense happening...what kind of god is allah if he keeps his women covered up, wont let them enjoy their existence, starves his people for months at a time, makes em get up at 5 in the morning to go and kneel down behind some arabs sweaty arse and pray for 5 hours a day..what are they praying for, a frickin escape from their retarded way of existence??! there, ive said it....its about time these religious freaks just grew the fuck up and got a mind of their own...religion is no longer relevant absolutely xx

So, bearing in mind the research that shows(and i can't be bothered to look up the facts on this) something like 90% of how we read people is based on how they say something and not what they can we campaign for the right to be able to see someone's face when talking to them? Body language is an essential tool in understanding our fellow human beings. This was my argument against the veil wearing teacher....how can she teach children with just her eyes & voice? Facial expressions are very much a part of learning, we depend on it much more than you think. For instance, if you wear glasses and perhaps lose them for a short while, you will become quite deaf! lol I know that sounds daft, but it really means that we do rely on lip movement and expression to help us understand what a person is saying to us.

My sister has 3 children and lives in a small 2 bed flat, there was an empty 3 bed house in her street and she asked the council if there was any chance of her having it as it would mean a lot more room, a garden etc and she was told no by the council as they have to give a percentage of empty houses to immigrants.

This was my argument against the veil wearing teacher....how can she teach children with just her eyes & voice? . exactly...its one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heared...what would she think about it if all the kids turned up in veils and she couldnt identify them? it amazes me that these things even get taken seriously...theyre using their religion to take the piss..it has to STOP

I think this rant thread has run it's course. I'm sick of hearing about all this crap. It's at it's best devisive and at worst racist. If I hear one more comment about us living in a christian country I'll scream. I'm not a christian I'm a brit and that is regardless of of religion. If you want to rant about the failings of our system to cope with multi-culturalism then go and buy the Daily Mail.
This forum isn't the place.
