Don't know why anyone would celebrate someone who came from the middle East and slayed a Dragon. Thats only a tad more believable than Derek Accorah you know!

But he did do a good thing! He converted a load of Pagan horse shaggers to christianity! YAY!! Now we just need to get the Christians to convert to Athiesm and we will nearly be there

Missed this thread earlier as I've not been in. Anyway, there was a big discussion about this at the time and the consensus was that although Pagans wouldn't celebrate a Christian festival such as a Saints Day, they would celebrate a National Day in the usual way involving lots of alcohol and food ( I believe the horse shagging was optional ) You will be heartened to know that a great many Pagans are total atheists too as I am also. Must be off now, I see a likely Shetland Pony

So what do you believe in then as a pagan? And do you embrace your religions history of human sacrifice?

"And do you embrace your religions history of human sacrifice? " You offering? ;D My beliefs are major league up the wall but a few of the ones that can be put into words are: I believe we all have an innate sense of each other as a natural part of our evolution. (Yes we did evolve, although, judging by my sons socks we could've been made of clay) I believe the natural magnetic field of the Earth and the Solar winds buffeting it effects the way we behave and the environment we live in. I believe that all life has a porpose and should be preserved as best as possible ( except wasps and Mother in Laws ) The rest of it will make me sound like a real raving loony so I ain't telling lol Seriously though, the rest of it is too nebulous to put into words, it's just there. Now, where did I put that pony?

what about our souls

Post by hyppydylan on May 1, 2007 11:24:21 GMT
snarf snarf...you said ar soles
I do belive in a soul / spirit that ought to sod off elsewhere but I don't know where as I don't believe in a heaven or hell. Dunno, into a cosmic conscienceness? Another step in the evolutionary journey? I do know the buggers sometimes hang around and freak you out occasionally but not in the MH sense. ( I know, I used MH and sense in the same sentence. Bugger twice now )

Another Pagan here.
I don't believe in god/goddess/gods. I believe in nature, natural selection, and evolvement. For me, death is the same as before you were born. Just nothingness. No conscious thought or life.

Just nothingness. No conscious thought or life. I know people who are alive, like that.
