The saudis are americas allie thats why they didnt wipe out saudia arabia instead of iraq, they need to retain relations for the oil and arms deals. Its all about money not stability as they claim.

I agree, this link I kept because it shows Iraq was about the oil ( which we knew anyway but hey) news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article2132569.eceThis paragraph was particularly interesting!... The huge potential prizes for Western firms will give ammunition to critics who say the Iraq war was fought for oil. They point to statements such as one from Vice-President Dick Cheney, who said in 1999, while he was still chief executive of the oil services company Halliburton, that the world would need an additional 50 million barrels of oil a day by 2010. "So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies," he said. And I believe I did read that the law was passed. I think the only other proof needed that these wars are about the oil is that other corrupt governments of the world i.e. Mugabe & Kim Jong in North Korea are left to their sadistic regimes, if I remember rightly didn't they attack Saddam for that and those "weapons of mass destruction". Don't get me wrong I think it would only have been a matter of time before Saddam had those weapons but North Korea are suspected of having them too, where is the invasion to protect our world from that threat?? Sorry got carried away from thread there .... But my point is that it is always about the oil never about protecting us from threat of war. Wonder why we never trust politicians
