Fielding to Launch Paranormal Channel

I'll have to check that out. It does have the potential to be an interesting channel but then it is Antix who're calling the shots.

I bet Karl will be a bit miffed to be referred to as "her cameraman husband". He'll come and samurai their balls off for that.

Carl and Stewart are on tv tonight paranormal channel 212 sky in what they call Whines and Spirits, I pressed the information button on my remote and it said - Expert paranormal investigators Carl Beattie and Stuart Torvell (expert investigators my arse!) they will be conducting investigations around haunted pubs around the country. I can't believe they call themselves EXPERT, they are both a joke!, how can anybody possibly take them seriously with all the Fraud around them with MH, anyway I will watch this programme tonight with "baited breath".........

I think they are repeating the same shows on this channel all day everyday, anyway it is on a 9pm

Oh Well! I watched the new show Whines and Spirits last night, wasn't very impressed, same old stuff like doors closing and opening with the locked off camera, noises in the cellar and in the bar area the lights were swaying, so Karl asked the spirits to move all 3 lights and wow they all started swaying, isn't is amazing that the spirits do it for them on their first vigil? and this all happened by 4 oclock in the morning. Other paranormal investigations probably sit there all night and nothing happens, so yet again there is probably something suspicious going on all to make television look good and watchable......

What does it take to be a paranorml investigator? do you have to know about psychology (ie a degree in the subject) go on countless investigations as a novice to start with, possibly have some knowledge on a scientific level the list is never ending. I think Karl and Stuart should come onto this forum so we can pick their brains? if they have nothing to hide then surely that should not be a problem? with us asking some direct questions with them, so this programme is going to be going on more investigations it will be interesting to see if all the pubs they visit have alot of activity?.............

She was on Chris Moyles show on Radio 1 last week. He tore her to pieces, and she had to laugh along with it!

Does that mean that Most Haunted has come to an end on Living then? (Not watched it for an age though)

i think the ratings and viewers have dropped for most haunted and they're worried. already the channel seems to be about them. everyday they've repeated the same episodes of strange but true, etc, i can't believe it. i mean every day the same thing again and again and again. they also introduce themselves as paranormal experts on whines and spirits, for eg. in less than a week they've proved it's about them and not what the viewers want. cheap and tacky so far.

Yeah, but the sad thing is this Whines and Spirits thing it is no different to most haunted, only with Karl and Stuart, its the same old investigations again, but they are trying to make is look professional and credible and it's not.......

i know, like my mum she's been suspicious of the MH team for a little while now. but she watched whines and spirits and thought okay, not bad! but it was amazing how she'd miss those all important little details. after we replayed it and i'd explained about the self proclaimed "paranormal expert" title ( that was said by mr beattie when introducing stuart torevell) she wasn't pleased at all. nothing proved again.

A channel created to put there shows on 24/7 (god (if he exists) dont let them) not that im bothered as i dont have sky haha..

if you can imagine, the same episodes repeated 3 or 4 times a day and then 7 days a week, the mind boggles! ;D

What this paranormal channel needs is more discussions and interviews (up to date) on the paranormal, we have moved on from showing certain shows on this channel that are from 20 years or so ago, but I reckon this new channel is going to be one sided as of course managed by Yvette and Karl they are not up to debate, just want to show flimsy material...............................

Not managed to watch any of this just at the moment. I'd like to, because I always find utter s*ite entertaining for some reason, so I'll hopefully have a glance at it next week when Dearly Beloved is away and I can watch what I want.

I was thinking? now Karl and Yvette have this new paranormal channel and I assume most of their time is making this channel successful so does that mean it is the end of Most Haunted?

I've wondered if they've noticed a drop in viewers and have set up this channel as a safeguard against MH eventually coming to an end. Problem is the programmes they're making themselves aren't scientific enough and lack any true evidence of ghosts, etc.

Later in the year Yvette Fielding's new programme will be aired. Now the title already suggests what we're going to get. Three Screaming Banshees. If we could afford it I'd put money on that it's going to be Yvette Fielding, Catherine Howe and Leslie Smith. I don't know whether you watched MH live at Italy but on the fifth night viewers were subjected to these 3 laughing, joking and screaming while doing a vigil on their own. I assume that Julian Clegg received texts, etc, saying how amusing it was. I also noticed them going off on their own in the series. Basically their antics have nothing to do with finding evidence of the paranormal and I assume that Living Tv and other channels would not air this kind of programme so the alternative is to show it on their own paranormal channel. Without seeing it I'll bet it's all about acting like you're on a girls night out rather than research.
