I'm not familiar with the work of Jay Z, but I personally think it's a smart move having him there this year. The line ups have been a bit too 'non-Glasto' for a couple of years and it was in danger of becoming just another festival. For me, it's always been about diversity in the music performed there, and there's always something else going on somewhere if you don't like what's on. Hopefully this will signal a move into not having the Manics or Coldplay or the Stereophonics headlining again. And the Wonderwall cover was genius! Top man!
