Hi there, my sister has mentioned a few times of seeing a ghost of a young girl in her house her children aged 7 and 11 have also seen her sitting on the end of their bed e.t.c, objects have been moved around certain rooms and toys left running. One evening Melanie's boy friend children stopped over, they are 13 11 and 8 and they too have witnessed a ghost of a girl upstairs, my sister is rather upset by this and I'm eager to investigate this myself to get evidence to see if its true or not or something that can be explained.
I only have a camcorder and a dicatator machine though....hmmm i need some pros, any ideas where i can go ?

Firstly the kids are only seeing this ghost because they are picking up on it through their mother.
There is no actual ghost, just the idea of a ghost.
Dont be surprised if the kids are the ones moving things about to "help" ghost
Throw away the dictaphone, its useless.
Just set up the camcorder in an area where they claim things move, and then watch as NOTHING at all happens!

Yeah i must admit i'm skeptical about there being a ghost which is why i wanna try and get video evidence of it but the problem is the dvds in a camcorder can only record up to 1 hour at a time so i guess i need a mini Dv camera or one with an internal hard drive.

Can't you hook your camcorder to your pc using either usb or firewire. You should be able to then record direct from camcorder to hard drive!
Secondly....keep a diary.

There is no equipment that actually proves the exitense of ghosts. It is people who report strange experiences, not instruments. All an instrument can do is give you a reading. It cannot tell you it is paranormal.

Find out what exactly is being moved and in what room. Then set them up in said room and leave the camera focused on them. Might be an idea to, if you can, to draw around them or something so even if they move slowly you can see clearly by how much. But don't expect anything.

Hi Guthix Have all of them witnessed this seperate or together ? Get them all to describe exactly what they saw without discussing it with each other and im betting they all come back with different stories . It could just be that one weird experience that may very well have a logical explaination caused one of them to talk about it , inturn the others now aware of this began to think along the same lines and are "seeing " the same things they are expecting to see because of what they heard ,kids imaginations are fired up by these kind of things and they could be playing along moving things for fun to keep the ghost story going . Then again are the kids scared by this or are do they seem more excited about it ? Talking about it infront of them might make things worse in either case , if they are playing a game then it will encourage them and if they arent involved it could scare the living daylights out of the wee mites . The moving objects are interesting , did your sister tell you examples would be good to hear more ?
