A recent study of the long-term effects of homeopathic treatment and remedies have found that 32 participants of the study have since died! Another 207 adults and 53 children withdrew their consent to participate in the study and 9 adults and 3 children had simply gone missing. How on earth do they account for 'going missing?' Particulary children? What exactly does 'going missing' mean here?

To be fair, the study consisted of 3700 people, and 32 have since died. That's less than 1% of the people involved. And as far as I can tell, it's not saying that they died either because of the particular chronic illness for which they were seeking treatment or as a result of the homeopathy.
romany - "going missing" means that they had changed their address without informing those responsible for the study, so they could not be found for the follow-up.
