Psychic medium Derek Acorah will attempt to contact Michael Jackson in a live séance on Sky1.
Two newly commissioned shows, Michael Jackson: The Live Séance and Michael Jackson: The Search For His Spirit, will air in November.
June Sarpong will host the events, which aim to give fans "a final chance to connect with their hero". The séance will apparently take place at a secret location which was once inhabited by the 'Thriller' popstar.
"There is an insatiable appetite to find out more about Michael Jackson. He was an extraordinary figure and the curiosity surrounding his life - and his death - stretches well beyond fans of his music," said Sky1 director of programmes Stuart Murphy.
"These programmes will explore whether it is possible to make contact with Michael and will seek to give his fans new insight into their idol."
Former T4 presenter Sarpong added: "I think viewers will find this programme intriguing and will want to tune in to see what happens. It's the first time I've done anything like this but I'm open minded and can't wait to see what Derek uncovers."

Sky sicken me for falling for this claptrap. I pay them good money to get some decent programming and this is a "showcase" programme for fans? What rubbish. Pure exploitative rubbish by a rubbish conman! I'm appalled they could lower themselves to this drivel. I don't want a single penny of mine going to that man!  |

Tigerlily, you know he has to keep topping up the tan and pay for the Villa in Spain-so of course he's going to exploit everything to make money, no sentiment in this at all, not only is it degrading to the Jackson family but we the general public, who pay out licence fee and pay Sky for our subscriptions are ultimately the ones who pay for this load of b***cks, maybe we should complain to the bosses at Sky?

I seen Derek Acorah live in Glasgow a few years ago, purely for research purposes you understand! It was worse than I expected.  He really needs to brush up on his cold reading techniques, or maybe global warming has hit Derek a little early.  |

Secondly Derek doesnt need to brush up on any cold reading skills, for he has one thing that sets him above all over psychics, he has charisma.
He has a huge fan base who are more interested in how nice he smells or how nice his hair is.
When James Randi talks about the unsinkable rubber duck, if you look in the dictionary there is a photo of Acorah next to that duck

he has one thing that sets him above all over psychics, he has charisma. He has had a few recent knocks to his public image (The plane incident being one). Charisma can work to a certain extent but there is only so much bad behaviour that even a true fan will tolerate. Thanks for the welcome! |
