"Five years ago, TAPS set the standard in the search for evidence of the paranormal, in Ghost Hunters. Two years ago, they took those methods worldwide in Ghost Hunters International. " "Now the worlds pre-eminent paranormal investigators are looking for new blood, in Ghost Hunters Academy. Thousands applied , five were selected, for the first investigation." So begins the latest spin off from TAPS. just going to watch it now, but here's a review from eslewhere. www.sfuniverse.com/2009/11/08/hells-kitchen-for-hunters-ghost-hunters-academy/

Well, I didn't muster the courage to watch even a single episode of that tripe.
But I endured one episode of GH International. Since German is my first language I've chosen the one where they travelled to the Wulf's Lair, Hitler's command post in Poland. I simply wondered how the would pull that stunt out of their hindparts, since english and bad english seem to be the only languages they speak.
Well, they started out by interviewing an American tourist lady, who was visited by Hitler in her bedroom. You know the type. Senior citizen, lilac hair, plated outfit, brought to a ripe age by a solid diet of junkfood.
Secondly they were visiting the site of Stauffenberg's attempt, or what they wanted their viewers to believe to be the spot. And, to add a little bit of suspense, they were actually finding signs of an explosion. Well, that's when the droppings really started to hit the fan. First, the site of the attempt doesn't exist anymore, since it was a wooden barrack and not one of the destroyed bunkers. Secondly, the whole place had been blown up by the Germans when they retreated.
And then it was EVP time. They contacted Hitler himself - in East Coast English. Sure, him being a highschool droput, would have perfectly understood their calls. But they did get some surprisingly good stuff. A woman's voice asking in perfectly good English "where is Hitler?"
Well, I guess it was a very usual occurance, that an English speaking woman was welcome in Hitler's headquarters during WWII. And its even more likely, that she was on very friendly speaking terms with the Führer.
All in all, a bunch of solid evidence - for a first class viewer bollocking.
