The Skeptics Tarot Cards Posted by Crispian Jago on Saturday, 9 May 2009Tarot cards have been used for centuries as a divination method. Many Skeptics and rational thinkers however have claimed that there is no scientific evidence to support the validity of this method. I have therefore drawn up a new pack of Tarot Cards for the more sceptically minded. To practice my new art of Tarot reading, simply find yourself a believer and get them to select a card. To help you out I have posted 12 sample cards below together with my interpretation of each cards meaning. crispian-jago.blogspot.com/2009/05/skeptics-tarot-cards.html

Ha Ha... I love it! Amaris, you could start up a nice little business there and make and make a fortune [telling] of a different kind. I came across a place yesterday advertising Tarot readings and made a casual enquiry of the very young girl doing the readings: Depending on what type of reading you wanted, £30 for half an hour was the minimum - ranging up to £80 !! Nice work if you can get it.

Tarot is the equivalent of top trumps for kids...basically you are ascribing a value and a meaning to a card then when it turns up applying that to whom ever you are reading for in the broadest sense. Its just a very involved card game and it's origins are just that .

Of all the packs you could have chosen you picked the Rider Waites pack which was also to some degree linked with Aleister Crowly once said to be the most evil man in the country. Who by his own admission practiced all kinds "of the black arts" who was a self styled mystic etc who would sleep with anything that moved, and possibly did'nt move. His story is fascinating and i think its a good job to read up about such. Yoy can't give a convincing argument if you ain't got the proof !!! Also as i believe the tarot were not meant to "tell your fortune" so people charging and saying such as that are obvious frauds. I have always believed if a person really had the power to tell you your "fortune" they would'nt charge and would also explain that all tha tarot could be is a tool to act more as a councillor, not a mystic meg (remember her?) or other con artist we see all the time.
