This place is very close to me. Just by word of mouth and website I reckon 500 people will have visited it in 2010. and it is not finished yet.

Some Geocachers Logs.

There is a sting in the tail to this that the logs don't give away. Neither am I. Very, very clever H.G. I thought that the golf ball was inspired but these two are even better I think. The beech hedge has grown enough to make it a maze now. I just wish I had brought one of those wee ball bearing maze puzzles for the cache.

The path is, as warned, still under construction, as is the maze, so it was rather squelchy underfoot. I passed some toadstools and as the trees thickened, the larches started creaking and wrens were scolding away at this stranger in their midst. I found the cache easily, then had a peep through the beech archway into the kitchen garden before tackling the maze. It's grown a bit more since the pictures taken 18 months ago, but still has a way to go. But it was fun. I did as instructed and followed the "good word" which I can't remember, but WASN'T "malevolent". In so doing, I turned right (widdershins - not lucky), and so it proved. A dead end. I saw no more of the 5 good, 5 bad words until I reached the middle, for the good reason that the stonework won't be added till the beech hedges are high enough. It almost needs a cache in the middle but maybe that would count as an ALR! The peacocks were in full mournful voice and I got out faster than in, but never saw them. TFTC - a most interesting area altogether.

This will be an interesting place to visit when the maze has grown a little. A lovely place for it. The coordinates were good and the hint items soon spotted. Many thanks for bringing us here. SL. TFTC.

Took the short walk from "forgotten souls", passing a brave rabbit in the woods and made the quick find, but only after Mrs TF had 'discovered' a toad! The maze looks like it will be fun once the hedge grows a little bit. TFTC

Neat little maze off the beaten path, will be nice to see when it's all finished. Took a bit to find but was eventually successful.
