Statement from Wayne Dobson reference Paul Daniels......
Everybody is aware of the professional differences that Paul Daniels and I have had over the past 35 years, but right now I would like to place that issue to one side. Ever since I learned about Paul’s very serious illness, I haven't stopped thinking about him and his family at this difficult time. He is the original pioneer of comedy magic and once he set that trend we all followed. Paul has made an epic contribution to the world of magic and he has my sincere admiration and respect. Wayne Dobson.
Mr Jinx Says: Humbling.

As you will of no doubt heard Paul Daniels has sadly been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. Many of you have already contacted the family asking how they can help and sharing your concern. Some have asked if there is a particular charity that they could donate too or organise a show and give the takings too. As such this Go Fund Me page has been established with the sole intention of raising monies for future research and to provide support to those organisations that have so far supported Paul himself. The monies raised will be split between the organisations and charities. This will mean a great deal to both Paul and his family that through this sad time they can still help others too. Without giving it away, would i be right in saying he couldn't do this exact method during the day?

I think that would be a fair shout. Just like Copperfield couldn't make the Statue of Liberty disappear during day light.

You know I forgot he did that at night too. Although I think his method is different to that of Smeaton's Tower, although of course couldn't be done in the day without a tighter camera angle. Smeatons tower didn't need a tight shot, just a frame. Anyway too much talk and I will get in trouble.

Totally different methods but neither could be done in daylight regardless of camera angles. Enough said!!

Paul Daniels: Terminally ill Wargrave magician 'happy at home' after leaving hospital The family of Paul Daniels says he is happy at home after the Wargrave magician left hospital to be with his loved ones. Daniels was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour in February after his wife Debbie McGee took him to hospital following a fall at home. Scans would show he had an inoperable brain cancer. The 77-year-old was admitted to Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Saturday, February 20 and his son Martin, a fellow magician, has spoken about the family's heartbreak. "It’s like anybody – they feel more comfortable and content at home," he said. "Some days he is tired and spends most of his time in bed dozing. But even then he is happy. His bedroom has floor to ceiling windows so he can sit in bed and look across the garden on to his river. “It is one of those things he likes about living where he does, watching the boats pass by and life rolling on. He delights in the ducks, swans and geese which run around at the bottom of his garden.” Full Story: www.getreading.co.uk/news/reading-berkshire-news/paul-daniels-terminally-ill-wargrave-11003381Mr Jinx Says:

I have shed tears this morning for a man I never met but who, never the less, made an impact on all my family's lives.
The love of magic that my son and both his sons now share is solely down to him. For this I thank Paul Daniels. R I P
