Did anyone see Dynamo's live TV special? One trick set Twitter alight..... Dynamo's Tom revealed as 20-year-old shelf stacker who claims the trick WAS real and he didn't call magician a ''w*****''Dynamo's stage guest 'Tom' has been revealed as a 20-year-old shelf stacker who has denied calling his idol a "w****r" after a trick went disastrously wrong. Speaking for the first time to Mirror TV, Tom Richardson, from West Yorkshire, said: "I didn't call Dynamo a w*****, I called him a 'Bradford lad' as he's from my home village and has grown up in the same place. "When I went to sit down Dynamo said 'make sure your phones are switched off' obviously I didn't have a microphone so you couldn't hear what I said and what I said was, 'I can't get to mine, can I?' which the audience around me who could hear, laughed." 'Love you always, Debbie': Magician Paul Daniels is laid to rest with heartfelt note from his wife and a silver wand on his coffinFamily and friends today laid Paul Daniels to rest in an ivory coffin topped with a handwritten note from his wife and a silver wand. Dozens of the magician's relatives gathered outside the Milton Chapel at Chilterns Crematorium, Buckinghamshire, as a hearse pulled up shortly after 12.15pm. Mr Daniels' wife Debbie McGee, cloaked in black with a polka dot turquoise scarf, exited a vehicle before embracing other mourners as the funeral procession made its way into the chapel for the private service. A touching note - simply reading 'love you always, Debbie xxx' - could be seen on top of the coffin, which was also adorned with a huge bunch of red roses. There's a guy who drinks in my local, he's got a contact at the local tag, heard my story and passed him my number. Unfortunately, they'll never be worth anything!

Ever wondered how Dynamo fools audiences with his magic? Here’s the science behind his trickery....THE trick to a successful magic show is doing the 'secret action' bit when the audience blinks - but many magicians don't even know they are doing it. One of the oldest tricks is causing the audience to feel so relaxed that they lose concentration and miss the actions that make the show appear to be real magic. But the reason this puts the audience under the spell is that relaxing leads to people blinking and even closing their eyes, psychologists have discovered. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/features/7052514/Ever-wondered-how-Dynamo-fools-audiences-with-his-magic-Heres-the-science-behind-his-trickery.htmlMr Jinx Says: What a load of cobblers!!!

Mr Jinx Says: Today, I'll be paying a final sad farewell to my fellow Magician and very good friend - Tony Roberts. We met about 6 years ago and instantly struck up an incredible friendship. Perhaps it was because we had so much in common; we both loved magic, both loved the theatre, both loved Jean Michel Jarre and both loved beer!! Spookily, we had attended the same conventions, shows and concerts on the same days, often sitting just a few seats from each other without ever knowing it. It was almost as if someone somewhere wanted us to meet..... well it finally happened and I'm so glad it did.
RIP Tony.

David Berglas Nothing is Impossible. For decades ‘International Man of Mystery’ David Berglas amazed the world with a series of seemingly impossible stunts. Now in his 90s, David lived through some of the most dramatic and traumatic events of the twentieth century. Psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman (University of Hertfordshire) recently recorded David describing some of his early experiences, including living in Germany during Hitler’s rise to power, attending the 1936 Berlin Olympics, and working as a postwar Nazi hunter. Listen to David’s remarkable memories in the following 20 minute podcast: davidberglas.wordpress.com/

Mr Jinx says - Hi Guys and Gals, sorry I've not been around much recently but things have been pretty hectic here at Jinx Towers. As you will recall my friend Tony passed away a couple of months ago and I've now been given the task of disposing of his collection of magic books and tricks (anyone interested PM me). This has taken up a lot more time than I ever thought it would. Add to this the chaos sales of a 3D crystal I designed and you're still only half way to my world!! Anyway, I'll update as and when I can...... in fact I can feel one coming on now..... Teller Reveals His SecretsThe smaller, quieter half of the magician duo Penn & Teller writes about how magicians manipulate the human mind..... Paul Daniel’s widow Debbie McGee to star at Milton Keynes fundraising ballMagician Paul Daniel’s widow Debbie McGee has volunteered to be guest of honour at a charity ball in memory of a city schoolboy. Debbie will be accompanied the late celebrity’s brother, Trevor Daniels, at the Bollywood Ball on June 11. The event has been organised by the family of Jamie Tipler, who died last year of a brain tumour at the age of 11. Jamie’s brave mum Julie, who has terminal cancer herself, is determined to raise cash to help her son’s dying wish come true. The youngster wanted birthdays to be extra special for all young cancer patients spending their big day in hospital. This prompted his family to set up Jamie’s Rhythm of Life Foundation, which gives out birthday balloons and small gifts to children in local oncology wards. The Bollywood Ball aims to raise enough cash to spread the gift scheme nationally.
