Leviticus 19:31 states: “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them…”. Leviticus 20:6 says: “I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.”
There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Deuteronomy 18:10 (KJV)
The Bible makes it very clear on how God views you, any views on this as believers?

I don't think you will. And can I say that despite what seems to be popular belief, Spiritualism is not a recognized religion. Even though they seem to think it is.

Wow, Leviticus really is the nastiest piece of fiction ever isn't it? I have no time for spiritualists or mediums but I regard them as being misguided, rather than evil. Life was a bit more magical when we all believed in Santa - therefore I see most believers as such as attempting to reclaim a little bit of that spirit - kinf of harmless but pointless. What I find astonishing is when people try to live their lives according to vile pieces of literature like Leviticus which would condemn homos like me to eternal Hell - along with people who eat seafood (that's not a euphamism) and people who wear clothes made from more than one fabric.
Crikey! I just outed myself on BadPsychics! How exciting!

"along with people who eat seafood (that's not a euphamism)" ;D
I agree, but to believers in God, this book is His word, the book that their entire religion is based on and yet Mediums who claim to believe in God seem to forget that God does not want them to talk to the dead, its written VERY clearly, you cant interpret it any other way to make it fit your lifestyle.
No doubt we will get "yeah, but THAT bit of the Bible is wrong", well I'm afraid Christianity doesn't work like that, you cant pick and choose the bits you like.
As you say Charliepops, the Bible also condemns homosexuality, but gay Christians have managed to re interpret the bits of the Bible to make "it fit" their lifestyle. You simply cant do this with Gods view of contacting the dead.
This is why I was hoping a Christian medium would respond to this question. Why anyone would want to lead their lives dictated by this ridiculous book is beyond me, but Christians do, and I really want to hear a Christian medium justify going against the Word of their Lord.

Spiritualism the religion use the term/name God only in terms that they believe in a higher power/conciousness. The use of God in the religion itself was set in place as by law you have to have a name to something you worship..otherwise legally it cannot be classed as a religion. Thank goodness...Im saved from GOD's lightning bolts

Try the Father,Son and the holy ghost for one. Also Angelic beings prophesied Christs birth Moses have a tea break with God and voila the ten commandments...hmmm will be back later with many contradictions the bible has to offer

Acts 11:12-15 (King James Version) 12And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house: 13And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; 14Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. 15And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. www.spiritualist-church.com/holybiblesprtlsm.htm

And scientology goes all the way back to 1953 and Hubbard saying "I'd like to start a religion. That's where the money is" !! So, to my first point, How do Christian mediums feel about going against Gods Word?

Erm, they all go back to Greek Orthodox, as that was the first church of Christ.
Not hard i am sure
Spiritualism was started by two frauds clicking their toes. Wow what a great heritage, lol
At least the Christian religions have a nice story and book, lol
I would feel ashamed to call myself a spiritualist, in fact even if i was a medium i would want to distance myself from it as much as possible.
Just imagine representing a religion that was born out of fraud, and is without doubt the most currupt religion on the planet, and that is saying a lot!!
The Scientologist may talk about the thetans, and all that bulls*it, but at least its a belief based on faith, however insane.
Spiritualism is based purely on the lies of two stupid alcoholic frauds.
