I got an email today from Amanda
Hello
I have just noticed something written on your website (for which I have tried to register with to try and respond to). But it mentions my name on the following article:
badpsychics.com/badghosts/modules/news/article.php?storyid=90
I feel the need to write this because whoever wrote this about me has made a mistake and its been very upsetting to me.
To put you in the picture I had copied some frequently asked questions about reiki from a very large american reiki organistion (which I though I would do because they must be reputable etc etc). However one of the questions mentioned something about reiki curing certain illnesses, and although I had incorporated some of this onto my website (in good faith that it was good information) I received an email from someone asking me to give further details about this so I pointed them in the direction of the American website to see if they can help, then also removed that same information from my website too in hindsight that it may not be good information (we all live and learn!!).
Then after that, I noticed that this has all been written about me on your website - maybe its from the same person who emailed me to ask me about it, but I am not sure! I have to point out though that this was all to do with information that was completely not generated by me originally. Now it seems that "someone" has decided to attack this on the internet on this forum without even telling me or giving me the benefit of trying to ask me further about this!!
I wouldn't mind but the wording that this all stemmed from was not even mine! So I would just like to say that in fairness, I am simply a Reiki master who just wants to help people, not upset anyone, just help them. I am sure that many other reiki people use these same questions and answers on their website's too.
The claims that were made in these questions and answers were not my claims and there was no malice or unlawful intention there whatsoever.
Is there any way you can take this page off your website? It is misleading as the information spoken about is not my information it belongs to the reiki organisation in ameria and now I am taking the rap for something that is not even my fault and now its unfairly displayed like this on the website.
Please can you reply to me and let me know as soon as possible.
thanks very much.
Kind regards
Amanda
As it was myself who originally mentioned Amanda's name, I feel I should reply to this.
I feel the need to write this because whoever wrote this about me has made a mistake and its been very upsetting to me.
Upsetting or not, no mistake has been made. The information was taken from YOUR website which you used to sell a service.
We 'live and learn'? THIS is a service you are selling to others. You need ME to tell you about it?
Then after that, I noticed that this has all been written about me on your website - maybe its from the same person who emailed me to ask me about it,
No it wasn't. Perhaps there is someone other than myself who find your claims to treat cancer by waving your arms about somewhat offensive.
I have to point out though that this was all to do with information that was completely not generated by me originally. Now it seems that "someone" has decided to attack this on the internet on this forum without even telling me or giving me the benefit of trying to ask me further about this!!
This was information YOU were using on YOUR website to sell a service and therefore profit from. You are not being 'attacked', what is happening is that you are being exposed as someone who uses false claims to make money from others.
I wouldn't mind but the wording that this all stemmed from was not even mine!
And yet they were on your website? With no cross reference to another party? Sorry, some of us just don't have the psychic ability to know these things.
So I would just like to say that in fairness, I am simply a Reiki master who just wants to help people, not upset anyone, just help them.
You're a 'Master', which one could regard as:
"A worker qualified to teach apprentices and carry on the craft independently."
and yet it appears you claim to very little about what you practice? Doesn't this make a mockery of the 'train to teach Reiki' thing? You became a 'Master'? How was that I wonder? By spending money having the information given to you by 'thought process'? Hardly a solid grounding in training is it. You seem to have proved this point very well by advertising that you can treat cancer with Reiki. A 'Master'? I think not....
who just wants to help people, not upset anyone, just help them.
So you work for free? No... didn't think so...
I am sure that many other reiki people use these same questions and answers on their website's too
Trust me, if we find ANYONE claiming that Reiki can treat cancer, they will be treated in exactly the same manner as yourself.
The claims that were made in these questions and answers were not my claims and there was no malice or unlawful intention there whatsoever.
I'm sorry. Really. But your 'get out clause' holds no water. These were claims YOU made on YOUR website to sell YOUR services.
May I suggest that next time you claim to be a 'Master' of something, you actually know what you're doing? Are you saying that up to this point you WOULD have treated someone for cancer as you didn't know you couldn't? Has it taken an article on a sceptics website to inform you what you can and can't do in a profession you claim to be a 'master' of?
Is there any way you can take this page off your website?
I would say the chances are somewhat slim to say the least.....
It is misleading
No it isn't. YOU were misleading people by claiming that the service you sell can treat something it can't.
as the information spoken about is not my information it belongs to the reiki organisation in ameria
Ameria? Never heard of the place. Is it near Narnia?
and now I am taking the rap for something that is not even my fault and now its unfairly displayed like this on the website.
I'm sorry? WHO'S fault is it exactly? You claim to be a 'Master' in a profession, you publish information on YOUR website in the hope of making money and 'it's not you fault'. Please let me know who forced you to do this, it seems like a matter for the local Police.
I have to say I think it's despicable in this day and age that criminals are forcing people against their will NOT to do any research into their own profession and then intimidate them into producing websites to sell services that are advertised incorrectly. The bloody swines. Come the revolution eh?...
