Why do believers delete themselves from forum

Hi There,
I'm new and came across this posting and felt I should post hear, I think the first post here by Kendra is very good, I don't think that psychics or mediums should feel that have to delete themselves from this site. I am a psychic medium myself, but I firmly believe that if you say you are psychic then you should be able to prove it. I mean I dont get these phony psychics who are hell bent on pretending to be something there not.

I think were psychics and mediums are concerned that there should be some sort of legal testing and certification, where by you can't psychically read others or set up a business unless you have been tested in all the abilities you say you have and have a legal certification to prove it. I guess I think there should be some policing policy in regards to psychics and mediums, that way people would know that there getting the real deal, because the phonies couldn't pass the tests, so they wouldnt be conning people out of money.

I think monetary payment isn't good either and there should be something else that is used for those seeking psychic advice, either provide it free or use the barter system or something like that movie 'pay it forward' instead a psychic advising others could ask for others to help out at a shelter or do something for somebody else, and that would be payment enough.

I also agree that a real psychic should be able to give general readings and provide accurate and personal information without asking questions......well thats my personal view anyway.

I do believe in scientific proof especially where the paranormal is concerned and think skepticism is healthly, as long as people are not overally skeptic and can keep an open mind about things, whithout instantly dismissing them

Thats great to hear, so what do you think is the best way we can go about proving your claim of being psychic is then?

100% agree with you.
The only problem is that we dont even have 1 medium in history who has ever been able to prove what they do as real, so i am sure you would agree that the first step would be to make all mediumship illegal until we can prove it.

Again agree totally. But until we can prove mediumship is even possible, it cant be policed correctly.

Any medium who asks questions is a fraud. They shouldnt even tell you to say yes or no,.

I think that main ways to test psychics or mediums would be to ask question that are personal to the sitter, like if the psychic can't tell you about a particular event from your childhood, or a nick name that the sitter is know by among family etc. Getting information on personal and not widely known information, is the best way to test psychics. I think the questions need to be asked face to face in a controlled setting, I think programmes like 'Most Haunted' aren't good because their dealing with historical sites most of the time and for the dishonest person, a little research could provide them with knowledge of people, battles etc that have been on that site.

I thinking testing personal information is something that works the best, I hate these fake psychics who are always hmmm..... over questions guessing there answers. I think that when individuals go for a reading they shouldn't take an answer that is very near to a personal situation etc. It should be the persons actually personal event, situation etc and nothing else. I f someone says their psychic they shouldn't have to guess.

It's absolutely shocking that some psychics are more interested in fame and fortune than helping people, and that's what attracts the fakes and the frauds who want to be celebrities and fill there pockets with other peoples money. So they have their TV shows, and their book sales, their traveling stage shows and the rest. There conning people into believing that anybody who wants to be psychic can be psychic or can be a medium, all you have to do is buy their books and you can learn too, what a crock of poo poo. As you can see this makes me so angry that there are people pretending to be something there not.

Being psychic is not something that I would ever have chosen for myself, my first experience was when I was 4 years old I had a dream one night that my perfectly healthly aunt was dying, i saw her lying behind her front door with her good blue church coat and cream scarf she always wore to church, ome minute she was putting on her scarf as she got to the front door, next thing she looked like she was having pains in her chest and then I woke up. I told my big sister all about it and when we came home from school my mum and dad sat us down and told us our aunt had died. That night my sister and I crept downstairs and sat on the bottom stair, my mum and dad were in the living room with the door ajar talking about my aunt, she had taken a massive heart attack as she was getting ready for mass the day before, she was found behind the front door wearing her good blue church coat and her cream scarf.

I mean nobody would ask for dreams like that, it isn't glamourous or cool, I dont crave fame and dont even use my own name here, the name I use here is my great grandmother's, I dont get people who want to be famous psychics and have people running after them, I mean if they could really do what they say they could do, they'd be doing it low profile, helping out in their own way, they'd be more interested in helping others than themselves.

I have a thing about fake mediums too, I mean have you ever heard one of those TV mediums saying to relatives that there loved ones thank them for the flowers, music etc. I mean what family doesnt get flowers or music for a funeral, so it's not something rare or unusual and doesnt prove anything.

I'll stop rambling on, I could ramble on about fake and fraud psychics and mediums all day, because its some that angers me alot as you can see:)
