Join us as Penn Jillette, Michael Goudeau, and YOU discuss the news of the week. We'll examine religious news, talk about monkeys, and anything else that seems funny or makes us mad. We'll also take your suggestions for things you feel like talking about. We will be running a live video feed from the Vintage Nudes Studio for people with the time and inclination to watch people sitting and talking. The live show will start at noon Vegas time most Sundays and will be available for download by about 7 PM Sunday evening
The problem is that the footage from 20 years ago was filmed in a studio using broadcast quality TV cameras. The more recent clip was filmed at a magic convention by someone, possibly sat in the audience, using a hand held camera. The quality was never going to be the same.
"Astrology teaches us one thing and one thing only.... There's one born every minute!" Patrick Moore.
Accusations of theft among the magic community aren't uncommon. Most of these come from misunderstandings between magicians. Magician (A) invents a trick, Magician (B) invents a similar trick unaware of Magician (A) creation. When Magician (A) finds out he accuses (B) of theft and chaos ensues.
The fact is there are only about 7 tricks in total and the rest is presentation so repetition is inevitable at some point. Proving that one magician stole anothers trick is often impossible unless it's blatantly obvious (see the Piff the Magic Dragon theft case from last year as an example).
